TIFFT GETS CAREER BEST WITH A 2ND PLACE AT KENTUCKY SPEEDWAY

Having not been able to participate in the early week practice due to school commitments (He is a freshman at UNC-Charlotte), Matt got on the track in his Ken Schrader Racing, Federated Auto Parts Chevy for the first time on race day this past Friday at Kentucky Speedway. In just his second 1.5 mile race, Matt worked his way up to speed quickly finishing just one spot short of the win strattera cost. It was his career best finish in the ARCA Racing Series, the prior best were a series of third place finishes, including the 1.5 mile at Chicagoland earlier in the year.

In the race, Matt had worked his way to the front by mid-race from a 10th place starting position. From that point on Matt was no worse than 4th and was challenging for the lead on several occasions. A late race restart would have Tifft battling for the lead coming up just a bit short.

I think we had one of the best cars out here,” Tifft said. “One of the debris cautions was for our duct work out there. After that our car tightened up and lost the front end a little bit. We were still solid, but just that little bit we needed at the end of the race was what got knocked out on the track. I gave it my all though. It was great experience to be able to run another 1.5 mile track. I really love the speed and challenges of these big tracks”

Matt’s next event is a NASCAR K&N East race with the Ken Schrader Racing Team at Dover International Speedway on September 26.
